An exciting role to champion production process optimisation & continuous improvement within a fledgling business. A real opportunity for an experienced production manager to put their stamp on things.
Duties
1. Develop and implement production plans based on agreed forecasts, resource availability, and production capacity.
2. Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components.
3. Continuously evaluate and enhance production procedures to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output.
4. Identify bottlenecks and implement lean manufacturing principles or automation tools where appropriate to streamline operations.
5. Work closely with the Quality Manager to enforce rigorous quality standards, ensuring products meet or exceed company and industry benchmarks.
6. Conduct regular inspections and take corrective actions based on trend analysis and customer feedback to address any quality issues.
7. Collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to implement and maintain safety protocols, minimizing risks and preventing accidents.
8. Develop and manage production budgets, controlling costs while maintaining productivity levels.
