Project Manager – Nuclear Industry

About the Role:
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of several large-scale contracts in the nuclear industry. These contracts involve full turnkey solutions based on PLC/SCADA technology, safety systems, and site installations. Your role will cover the entire project lifecycle—from requirements definition through to implementation, testing, and commissioning—ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
In this role, you will lead and motivate a talented team of up to 30 project managers, hardware engineers, software engineers, and installation engineers, ensuring seamless delivery and client satisfaction. You will also be responsible for financial oversight, including subcontractor management, and will play a key role in securing future business by building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the successful delivery of high-value contracts from inception to completion
Oversee financial performance, ensuring projects meet specification, timescales, and customer satisfaction
Manage a diverse team of engineers and project professionals, fostering a collaborative environment
Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety standards
Conduct regular progress meetings with clients and stakeholders
Support future business development through excellence in project delivery
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Minimum 10 years of proven project management experience within the nuclear or similarly regulated industry
Strong leadership and people management skills
Experience with NEC3/4 contracts and commercial negotiation
Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines, manage budgets, and exceed customer expectations
Full driving license and willingness to travel
Eligible for SC clearance
Desirable:
Project management qualifications (PRINCE 2, APMP) or relevant safety training (e.g., IOSH)
Experience with CEMAR
