Thornbury - Computer Science Teacher Position
About the Role:
Embark on an exciting journey in technology education at a school we are working with in Thornbury! We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Computing Teacher to join a 'Good' Ofsted rating school in South Gloucestershire.
This position is a temporary to permanent starting in September 2024, this will be a full-time role and the pay with full duties.
You will be paid to scale on a daily rate equivalent via PAY starting from £150 - £250. Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering engaging computing lessons, fostering a passion for technology, and equipping students with essential digital skills.

The Computer Science teacher role would involve:
* Tutor to a year 7 group
* Teacher of Life skills (PSHE) 2-6 x per fortnight (curriculum fully planned and prepared)
* Computer Science teaching for the remainder of the timetable KS3 to KS5
* If Year 12 is an issue, we can discuss opportunities to amend the timetable, but the preference would be to give the opportunity for A Level teaching
Qualifications and Skills:
* Relevant teaching qualifications and QTS.
* Strong knowledge of computing concepts, programming languages, and emerging technologies.
* Effective communication skills to engage and motivate students.
* A passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
