Herefordshire Council has an exciting opportunity for one experienced NEC Engineering and Construction Clerk of Works.
The roles are within the Highways and Traffic Team, joining a dedicated, supportive, professional staff with a wealth of experience, knowledge, and care in delivering the service.
All this within the beautiful, historic county of Herefordshire located in the heart of the Marches on the Welsh Border, with a wealth of unspoilt countryside, distinctive heritage, and lively market towns with Hereford City at its heart. The Role
Clerk of Works – Highways and Traffic:
The successful candidate will be involved in a range of construction activities, from developer-led S278/S38 works to Herefordshire Council capital projects such as Public Realm improvements, highway maintenance construction schemes including paving, drainage, safety schemes, land slips, PRoW works, and other construction schemes delivered by the council. The role will undertake site-based quality inspections validating compliance with the approved drawings/specifications, best practices, and programme. The person will be responsible for ensuring all works and materials used meet the specification and testing requirements.
