We have an exciting opportunity for a clinical support worker vacancy on Ward 17, which is a respiratory ward. We have a 24-bedded unit that provides care for patients with chronic respiratory conditions, including tracheostomy patients, non-invasive ventilation, and patients with lung cancer.
We are currently looking for a permanent Clinical Support Worker who is enthusiastic and motivated to join our team. We are a friendly team that welcomes applicants who enjoy caring for patients, have a good sense of humor, and strive for excellence.

A flexible approach to the hours of work is required; this includes long days (07:00-19:30) and night shifts (19:00-07:30), including weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities:
1. Assisting patients with activities of daily living in accordance with the care plan. These duties will include the delivery of hygiene care, nutrition and hydration, continence care, pressure area care, mobility, and rehabilitation.
2. Therapeutically engaging with patients and their families, some of whom may have dementia. The ward welcomes anyone with an interest in activity and entertainment that patients and staff will enjoy.
3. Being part of the wider MDT and making a daily contribution to the care patients receive.
4. Assisting in taking and recording patients' observations and reporting changes to patients' health status to the trained nurse for action.
5. Supporting registered nursing staff with clinical treatments and investigations as appropriate, to the level of knowledge and skill.
