About the Role:
Blayze Group are currently working with a leading Residential Developer, seeking a talented and experienced Technical Manager to join the team working on an exciting new-build RC Frame Residential Scheme in South London. This high-profile project involves the construction of a landmark residential development comprising modern, high-quality homes, offering both personal growth opportunities and the chance to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team.
As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of the project, ensuring that the design, engineering, and construction meet the highest standards. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and external consultants to ensure timely delivery, quality control, and adherence to sustainability goals. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a key residential scheme in an evolving area of London.
Our client are seeking candidates who have either previously worked with a Main Contractor and/or Residential Developer in a Technical Manager position or someone looking to step up from a Senior Technical Coordinator position.
The client are also happy to consider Senior Level (Associate) Architects who are keen to explore a client-side move. As an associate Architect, you would have previous experience working on multi phase new build residential schemes in London through RIBA stages 3-6.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Oversight: Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of the RC Frame Residential Scheme, ensuring that all work aligns with the project’s scope and specifications.
* Design Management: Work with architects, engineers, and external consultants to ensure the design is technically sound and meets the required standards.
* Construction Management: Oversee the construction process, ensuring that technical and safety standards are maintained at all stages.
* Quality Control: Monitor and ensure that construction activities comply with quality control procedures, regulations, and industry best practices.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
* Risk Management: Proactively identify and address potential risks or issues, ensuring project continuity and success.
* Sustainability: Implement sustainable construction practices that align with St James' commitment to delivering environmentally responsible developments.
* Schedule & Budget Management: Assist in ensuring that the project progresses on schedule and within the allocated budget, with a focus on technical aspects.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field.
* Previous Experience working with either a Main Contractor and/or Residential Developer.
* Strong understanding of RC Frame construction methods, materials, and quality control.
* Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and an ability to apply them to large-scale residential developments.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
* Proven ability to identify, manage, and mitigate technical risks and issues.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
