About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan.
Role Overview
The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and monitoring of Site Wide projects. This role assists Site Wide Leads by coordinating project activities, managing project documentation, and ensuring that project tasks are completed on time and within scope. The Project Coordinator works closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate communication, track progress, and help achieve project objectives.
What you'll be doing
* Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and timelines.
* Coordinate project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and aligned with project goals.
* Monitor project progress and report any issues or delays to the Project Manager.
* Schedule and organize project meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
* Prepare regular status reports and update project stakeholders.
* Ensure all project documentation is properly stored and accessible to relevant team members.
* Assist in the preparation of project presentations and materials.
* Facilitate effective communication between project team members and other departments.
* Assist in managing stakeholder expectations and addressing any concerns.
* Ensure that all project communications are clear, timely, and accurate.
Who we're looking for
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Previous experience working in Engineering Construction role.
* Strong Administration / Co-ordination skills.
* Ability to gain a security clearance.
