Role
An exciting role for a skilled digital designer within a forward-thinking ecommerce company in the technical outdoor clothing industry. Reporting to and following brand direction curated by the Creative Brand Manager,this role combines creativity and design skills to resourceand help implement new product campaigns, productpromo projects, email and social campaigns, website sale events, day-to-day promotion, content design, and support of the brand's indoor and outdoor photoshoot requirements.
You will assist with all aspects of brand and product presentation across multiple customer-facing platforms including website, email and social, ensuring that it best represents Jöttnar. You will additionally assist with the daily retail functionality of Jöttnar’s website, helping to optimise the customer touchpoints.
Key Duties
* Assist with the creation and editing ofvisuals for web and digital marketing use including: post-production of studio product shots; in-action product shots; promotional email content; social media and advertising graphics; product landing pages and visuals for multi-channel advertising.
* Assist and execute oncreative design conceptsled by thebrand direction and industry trends.
* Support the brand's indoor and outdoor photoshoot requirements, including pre-planning, shoot-day deliverables, and post-production editing.
* Produce curated marketing assets for online and offline ads.
* Uploading to website product and outdoor photography, ensuring visual merchandising and brand consistency is of the highest standard.
* Support the day-to-day retail operation and functionality of the website and branded channels including ad-hoc tasks as delegated.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in acommercial design-based roleofa relevant nature. (University experience/personal projects not included.)
* A commercial and design background. Agency-side design experiencecan also be relevant.
* A compelling design portfolio with a product/brand orientation,showingsuccessfully led campaigns at a commercial level.
* Ability towork on multiple projects simultaneously through strongtime-management and organisational skills. As a small team being agile is essential.
* Fluency in Adobe creative suite with excellent knowledge of Photoshop. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Illustrator and After Affects is desirable, but not essential.
* Experience with Shopify (or similar ecommerce platforms) a benefit.
* Experience with commercial email platforms e.g. Mailchimp/Klaviyo.
* Fluency in MS Office applications.
* Knowledge of social mediadesign is essential, including Instagram and Facebook.
* Brand marketing and product visual merchandising skills demonstrated in an ecommerce environment.
* Ambitious, high energy, good communication skills, positive attitude, team player.
* Well-organised, able to take initiative and work well independently, as well as in a team setting.
About You
* You will have experience in an agency or client-side/commercial with a demonstrable portfolio.
* You thrive on generating new designs that stands out from existing industry creative.
* Thorough understanding of typographical principles, layout conceptualisation and current best practices in design.
* You will have the maturity, discipline, speed of output and self-confidence to operate in a fast-paced commercial environment.
* Diligence, conscientiousness and attention to detail will be amongst your defining characteristics.
* A high standard of written English is essential.
* Anunderstandingof outdoor sports and knowledge of the outdoor clothing market is desirable.
Remuneration, Benefits and Conditions
* Annual salary: £25,000-£35,000 per year (DOE).
* 28 working days paid holiday per year, in addition to normal bank and public holidays.

Schedule:
* HQ based in Cardiff.
* Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
* Our Cardiff office is your formal place of work and is 10 mins from the city centre. There is climbing, world class mountain biking, white water rafting, beaches and surfing a short distance from our office. The Brecon Beacons is 40 mins away. Bristol airport is within a 30 min drive. Cardiff is the cultural, educational and international-sports capital of Wales.
