The Role
Seeking individuals with specific expertise in test creation, execution, and delivery, including roles for test automation for VIL/PIL, MHEV system testing, and gas path emissions (petrol).
Involved in planning, developing, and implementing e-drive and xHEV/ICE petrol test processes and facilities. Design validation through PiL (Powertrain in the Loop) and ViL (Vehicle in the Loop) testing to ensure systems meet performance and regulatory requirements. Test automation will support verifying the performance and reliability of MHEV components and systems.
Your responsibilities:
* Automate test processes, develop test plans, and collaborate with engineers to ensure the quality and reliability of powertrain systems.
* Design and execute tests to verify emissions control system performance in petrol-powered vehicles, ensuring compliance with standards.
* Work within OEM emission testing facilities, utilizing tools to analyze exhaust gases and parameters.
* Focus on testing MHEV systems, verifying performance and reliability.
* Apply experience in hybrid systems fault finding, development, and testing, working in engineering facilities, rig environments, and vehicle testing.
* Understand design and validation principles for MHEV systems and components.
* Apply knowledge of power electronics integration.
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Strong experience with ICE and MHEV propulsion systems.
* Proven experience with PiL/ViL testing and validation.
* Knowledge of test planning and emission regulations.
* Understanding of ICE gas path chemistry.
* Calibration knowledge and sensor control.
* Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, automotive, or electrical engineering.
* Experience with VIL and PIL automation.
* Relevant experience in powertrain systems engineering and gas path analysis.
* Good understanding of MHEV systems, testing, and validation.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Technical curiosity with a strong analytical approach.
* Effective team player with interpersonal skills.
