Business Data Quality Analyst
Good data helps facilitate the understanding of a business, its customers, its suppliers, and the market. Chubb recognises that data is a vital asset. To maximise the value of this data asset it must be maintained to required standards, align to and support business strategies and objectives and enable business processes.
To enable this requirement, Chubb Overseas General (COG) has instigated an operating model to based upon COG wide data products supported by product squads. To provide governance, oversight and support to these data products and their associated squads a COG Data Governance group has been established, who report to and are directed by the COG Data Council.
Role Purpose:
This position will support and provide insightful analysis and reporting for the Lead Data Steward, the Data Quality Board and Data Council as they develop and roll out data quality management across COG. The analyst will monitor COG’s data product squads’ progress against the 5 Step Data Certification model. In addition, they will provide support and coaching to the data squads as and when required.
This position will also work closely with the Global Data Organisation to ensure both groups stay coordinated and aligned.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Partner with the data product squads to ensure their adherence to the 5 Step Data Certification process. This includes the full, accurate and timely completion of all data quality key artefacts which are achieved through reviews, feedback and coaching where appropriate.
2. Ensure timely consolidation of data squad DQ artefacts into the central DQB records.
3. Work with the Data Analyst and Business Analyst Chapter Leads to ensure all data squad DAs and BAs are up to date with all the latest DQ developments, processes, and training.

9. Assist in the development of a COG wide critical data element change request controls process with Technology.
10. Attend the COG Data Quality Board meetings, record minutes, and deputise for the COG Lead Data Steward when required.
11. Assist with the identification, onboarding training and BAU activities related to data domain owners and business stewards.
12. Partner with the Global Data Organisation in the development and establishment of
13. BAU data quality monitoring and result publishing using Informatica’s IDMC and Data Market Place. This includes the development of data product overall health measurement methodology.

17. Degree level or equivalent
18. Must have Insurance industry experience,. understanding of terminology, processes, and practices
19. Working in cross functional teams and coaching.
20. Process and control reviews, redesigns and successful implementation of changes
21. Investigating and analysing complex data scenarios, ., with SQL Server
22. Using and developing models in data tools, ., Alteryx or Dataiku
23. Presentation, documentation, and MI development for different audiences
24. Strong knowledge and practical experience of technology, data quality principles, data governance, and data management best practices
25. Fluent English. Proficient Spanish would be beneficial.
26. Proficiency in Microsoft suite - PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams, Sharepoint, Visio and Word
27. Analytical and inquisitive. Not afraid to question and challenge. Able to formulate observations and recommendations.
28. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
29. Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
