Job Title: Reliability Manager

Role Overview:
The Reliability Manager will lead & coach a dynamic team of shift and day-based Multiskilled Engineers, maintenance planners, continuous improvement practitioners, as well as champion our Engineering apprenticeship program, all in service of delivering a world-class asset reliability program. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance function (including planned, strategic (Lifecycle) and reactive), to ensure high levels of safety, plant availability, performance, and reliability within approved budgets.
Responsibilities:
1. Leading development, succession planning and performance management across a team of 14-20 Associates with a strong focus on building engineering capability.
2. Responsible for maximizing asset availability through a world-class preventive & reliability-centered maintenance program.
3. Full accountability of statutory compliance for factory assets under your ownership, including but not limited to PUWER, PSSR, LOLER & L8.
4. Be the champion for setting & following up on workplace standards including the 5S program.
5. Partner with the project engineering team on the smart factory program in rolling out predictive maintenance tools.
6. Ownership and management of the maintenance budget for the given area of responsibility, including delivery of yearly cost reduction targets.
7. Lead and manage production support aligned to the MSE-AM pillar, coordinating activities to drive improvements and deliver against the site CBN and MARS Supply Excellence strategy.
8. Engineering stores ownership.
9. Drive MSE-PM deployment and daily management across the site.
10. Lead, manage and coach continuous improvement initiatives.
11. Provide input to the Asset health check program as part of the asset care strategy (Maintain vs replace).
12. Drive the obsolescence program in partnership with Project Engineering teams.
13. Actively network within MARS & outside of MARS for benchmarking & reapplication.
14. Responsibility for preparation and delivery of CAB projects within the area of responsibility combined with PM delivery within CAB projects (spare parts, PM strategy etc.).
15. Act as a formal mentor within the engineering structure and a lead for apprentice development.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
1. Experienced maintenance & reliability professional with strong people leadership experience.
2. Have worked in a high-performance culture and ability to partner closely with multiple stakeholders.
3. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate teams and individuals.
4. Experience of working in a lean manufacturing environment and solid understanding of PM methodology.
5. Exposure to CMMS for day-to-day maintenance management.
6. High level of self-awareness and eagerness to learn.
7. Tech-savvy & digital literate.
Education:
1. Accredited Engineering Degree (2.1 honours) or
2. Minimum HNC / HND in a core engineering discipline if supported by suitable experience.
