As a Quality Shift Inspector, you'll conduct quality control inspections in a machine shop and foundry setting, preparing necessary reports and supporting the Quality Engineer. This role involves in-house inspections, calibration, and the use of measuring/testing instruments. The position is multi-skilled, requiring you to work across both Machine shop and Foundry inspections depending on workload demands.
Who This Job Would Suit
An experienced Quality Inspector within a Machine shop environment and preferably further skills in Programming FARO Arm / 3D Scanner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate with Shop Foremen or Managers to conduct necessary inspections and produce stage inspection reports.
2. Oversee testing for shop production requisitions, performing patrol inspections as required.
3. Assume responsibility for final inspections and release of job orders, ensuring all QC activities are completed.
4. Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for discrepancies and follow up with the Quality Assurance Department.
5. Maintain the current calibration status for in-house measuring and testing instruments.
Skills and Experience:
1. Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within Manufacturing or Engineering.
2. Preferably experience in a Machine Shop or Foundry environment.
3. Programming experience - FARO Arm / 3D Scanner.
Location: Todmorden
Pay Rates: £18.83 - £20.60 per hour
6-2 shift @ £18.83 per hour / 2-10 shift @ £20.60
