Job Summary
We are seeking a Nursery Deputy Manager to work alongside the Nursery Manager and oversee the daily operations of our nursery facility. The ideal candidate will have at least a full and relevant level 3 qualification and must have at least 2 years experience working in a nursery as a qualified nursery nurse.
The Deputy Manager is responsible for the running of the nursery in the absence of the nursery manager and as such is required to be professional, organised and driven to provide an outstanding provision.
Duties
1. Manage and supervise nursery staff to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children
2. Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programmes
3. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being
4. Drive continuous improvement in nursery operations and quality of care
5. Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in childcare or nursery management
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
3. Ability to lead and motivate a team of nursery staff
4. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
5. Excellent organisational and time management skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.40 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
