We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Physiotherapy who has experience in neurological conditions. You will contribute to the provision of high-quality teaching on the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy course based at Walsall campus and the MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration) course based at Telford campus.
You will primarily teach on these 2 pre-registration physiotherapy programmes; however, there will also be teaching on the allied health inter-professional modules and on relevant post-registration CPD courses as required. You will need to be committed to the maintenance of high academic standards and enhancement of the student experience and be prepared to contribute to the development of the faculty’s portfolio of courses, linking with relevant external partners, and the generation of external income for the university.
You will have extensive experience and knowledge of physiotherapy practice, ideally within the field of neurology, and will be familiar with the requirements of the physiotherapist. Effective teamwork and excellent communication skills are essential. Experience of teaching in a clinical or academic setting is essential, and candidates with a research profile are welcomed. Dedication to innovative teaching and research activities within physiotherapy practice are also a requirement of the post, to contribute towards the physiotherapy portfolio and the profile of the faculty.
We are committed to improving diversity in our physiotherapy teaching team and would welcome applications from global majority candidates.
You will preferably have completed, or be willing to work towards, a master’s qualification. You will hold current registration with the HCPC as a physiotherapist and have significant clinical experience. If you do not already hold a post-graduate certificate in education, you will be supported to complete this as a mandatory requirement of your future employment. A range of other CPD courses are available for you to study.
