Now, this is where you fit in… The ServiceNow Developer will be part of the Technology Operations team, with responsibility for day to day administration and development of the ServiceNow platform. A customer focused mind-set with an understanding of IT Service Management processes, along with a passion to learn and adapt are key to the role. As the ServiceNow Developer, you will support internal customers of the platform to ensure a positive user experience while undertaking routine daily, weekly and monthly tasks to maintain the integrity of the platform. The ideal candidate will have experience of ServiceNow Administration and platform development and be looking for an opportunity that will present further exposure to development, platform management and technical innovation. Your key responsibilities will be: Manage and resolve incidents relating to ServiceNow Manage and fulfil requests relating to ServiceNow Escalating and managing escalated incidents and requests through ServiceNow when necessary Assist in creating complex reports Perform routine maintenance Manage instance security (User/Group Access, ACL’s) Development (Automated workflows, business rules, new catalog items/order guides, updates to existing catalog items) Identify, design and implement opportunities for automation to increase efficiency for customers and IT Technology staff Installation and configuration of ServiceNow store apps Creating new or amending existing notifications delivered by ServiceNow Collaboration with ServiceNow team members to ensure platform stability and usability Testing following upgrades or instance clones Perform code reviews to ensure that the quality bar is being met regarding coding standards, integration, extensibility, and security Backend scripting Front end updates To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you: Comprehensive ServiceNow (preferably Vancouver version or later) administration and development experience Exposure to the CSM & HR ServiceNow modules Exposure to Employee Centre ITIL, ITSM, ITAM experience Ability to understand complex business models / structures quickly Understanding of project and software development practices (e.g. Agile and SDLC) Experience in supporting business users Ability to understand complex business processes Embraces change and personal development Comfortable in technical conversations (Technical proficiency rather than mastery) Effective communication, a great team player, can work under pressure, dynamic and comfortable working in a changing environment Exposure and use of Integration Hub Working Knowledge of Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, AngularJS etc) Experience with integrations between ServiceNow and other systems Skills Required: Customer service focused ServiceNow ITSM administration experience in an enterprise estate Proactive, motivated and enthusiastic Offers solutions when faced with challenges We’ve put everything in place to ensure you thrive.
