Join our Transportation team as a Planner and play a crucial part in projects of all sizes, scopes and scales. Your purpose:
* Help establish the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and support the project on the monthly collation of progress data related to time, cost, risk, and quality for monthly business reporting.
* Support the Project Manager/Director by providing specialist advice and technical knowledge to respond to delays, issues, and other challenges throughout the project.
* Administer Project Control activities, conduct audits, assurance checks of contractors' monthly data submissions and ensure the submissions are fully assessed and are paid in line with the project KPI’s.
* Support the administration of trend/forecast reporting and the Baseline Change Management of the agreed project budget, ensuring that all changes are correctly attributed and charged accordingly.
* Coordinate the preparation and submission of monthly performance reports to the project lead, in line with business reporting requirements and timescales, to enable prompt decision making, approvals and financial forecasting.
* Provide guidance and corrective actions to teams to ensure the quality of task submissions and reporting of costs.
* Attend monthly reviews and other meetings as required.
What you can bring:
* Understanding of Project Control principles for major programmes.
* Experience in facilitating and administering multidiscipline meetings with large groups of stakeholders.
* Technical Competencies - Primavera P6 proficient.
* Understanding of the importance of timely reporting and the energy to deliver against demanding deadlines.
* The ability to build strong relationships and support colleagues.
* Enthusiasm, ideas, and drive to grow, learn and develop within our organisation.
* Experience within a project environment supporting the Project Manager/Director.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Experience of interacting with internal and external clients.
* Initiative – ability to work with minimum supervision and make suggestions on best practice and improving current processes and procedures.
* Teamwork – willingly cooperate with others towards the same goals and objectives.
