Offering a structured 37-hour workweek (Monday-Thursday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Friday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm) with flexi-time available, 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, private healthcare, a 5% pension, and life insurance (2x base salary), this role provides excellent benefits. The successful Electrical/Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for: Managing design projects from concept through to manufacturing handover. Providing design input for cutting-edge subsea technology. Developing new product ideas and system improvements. Producing engineering designs, specifications, and documentation to ISO 9001 standards. Supporting offsite engineering for new products and assisting with customer training. Providing technical support to production, logistics, and integration teams. Assisting sales and marketing with technical proposals and quotations. Ensuring compliance with national and international regulations while working to project budgets and timescales.The successful Electrical/Electronics Design Engineer will have: Degree-qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience). Minimum 3 years’ experience in an engineering design environment. Strong knowledge of electric motor systems, power distribution, variable speed drives, industrial sensors, and PCB design. Experience with communication protocols (RS232, RS485, SPI, I²C, Ethernet) and video distribution technologies. Proficiency in PCB design using Altium or equivalent software. Technical drawing competence, problem-solving skills, and excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, internal teams, and third parties. Desirable: Experience in ROV system design, offshore engineering, and motor control electronics
