Finance AssistantPermanentRemote – Ideally commutable to Leek, Staffordshire£26,000 - £28,000Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 4.30pm (flexible) Main Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant ACCOUNTS Debtors Ledger Posting cash receipts/ money transfers/ supplier and ad hoc payments to SAP Reconciling Supplier Accounts to Supplier Statements Processing, Approval Process and Payment of Employee Expenses Processing monthly company expense claims Processing and Monthly reconciliation of Company Credit Card expenses Control Account Reconciliation Internal Reconciliations of P&L accounts Month End Ledger Close Weekly SAP Reports Weekly Bank downloads and balance checks Weekly Cashflow Forecasting Preparation of Weekly Payment Run in line with Cashflow (creditor stretch) Assisting with any payment queries Sending remittances Answering customer/ supplier queries by email or phone call Assisting internal administration functions across logistics and Office Administration eg: Finding / Booking hotels and venues when required Other accounting projects (as and when required)- examples below Amazon / Shopify Any other finance or administration functions as may be required from time-to-time SERVICE PROCUREMENT - PURCHASE ORDERS Purchase Ordering Process, Obtaining Approvals and Raising Orders Processing all incoming purchase invoices for goods and services Liaising with External Service providers eg: Clarity / Banks / Auditors etc Electronic Filing of all incoming documents Answering customer/ supplier queries by email Ensuring internal staff and external suppliers follow the Internal Service Procurement process Experience and Skills required Degree/ diploma in Finance, Accounting or Economics or work-related experience to the same Work experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer or similar role Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions) Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. SAP) Organizational and time-management skills Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors .hands-on can-do attitude IT literate across Microsoft 365 and TEAMS Closing date is 08.11.2024To Apply please follow the application process for the site this job is advertised on.
