On behalf of our customer, a world-leading aerospace component distributor based in Basingstoke, we are currently recruiting a Regional Sales Manager to join their UK team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience working in the aviation aftermarket component sector, be methodical in their sales approach, and be able to manage and develop a large portfolio of key accounts.
This is a remote role with regular international travel and a requirement to visit the Basingstoke office twice a month.
The Role
1. To prepare and execute all aspects of the sales cycle for a broad scope of products, services and solutions - targeting airline and MRO customers.
2. Deliver and regularly exceed sales targets.
3. Position the company as a world-class partner with every customer by embracing their values and successfully balancing the customers' requirements with the corporate objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Technically understand the functionality of all the company's products and be able to effectively sell by differentiating them over the competition.
2. Develop sales plans and coordinate with Product Managers in advance of meetings; following the visit, construct a final report outlining the findings and actions along with market intelligence.
3. Make sales calls and travel to customers a minimum of 40%.
4. Execute tactical sales meetings at customer facilities to include Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, and Management representatives.
5. Develop relationships with a balanced cross-section of customer contacts and decision makers (management, purchasing, planning, engineering, mechanics).
6. Monitor competitors in the marketplace and industry trends that impact buying decisions.
7. Responsible for delivering sales presentations and collecting information about the customer to assist in the development of marketing plans.
8. Ability to develop budgets and forecasts on a quarterly basis.
9. Work in tandem with the Product managers and Strategic Partners to drive programs at selected customers.

Education & Experience
1. 5 years aviation sales experience.
2. Aeronautical degrees and further education qualifications not essential but will be considered as a benefit to all applicants.
