We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Kids Services Manager to lead and enhance our services for children, young people, and their families in Bracknell Forest. Why You'll Love This Role: As a Kids Services Manager, you will be at the heart of our mission, organising and delivering a range of impactful services for disabled children and young people aged 3-18, as well as their families and young adults up to 25. Your Key Responsibilities: Lead and Inspire: Coordinate Saturday and holiday play schemes, short breaks, and weekend getaways across Bracknell Forest, ensuring every activity is engaging and accessible. Manage and Innovate: Oversee our play and leisure services, working closely with the senior leadership team to enhance our offerings and meet the diverse needs of our service users. Support and Supervise: Provide line management and support to senior practitioners, ensuring high standards of service delivery and compliance with relevant regulations. Collaborate and Evaluate: Work with partner agencies, parents, and service users to plan, implement, and assess our services, promoting inclusivity and accessibility. Develop Talent: Support the recruitment, induction, and training of sessional workers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Monitor and Report: Prepare quarterly reports for the local authority, showcasing the impact and success of our services. Build Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, colleagues, and volunteers, as well as external partners and organisations. What We’re Looking For: Experience: Proven background in children's services, health, education, social care, or the voluntary sector, with direct experience working with disabled children and a solid understanding of disability rights and inclusion. Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in IT and administrative tasks is essential. Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field. A willingness to pursue further training is a must. Attributes: Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with a proactive, solution-focused approach. A valid driver's license is preferred. Desirable: Experience in the charity sector, particularly in a supervisory or coordinating role. Knowledge of short break services and play schemes for disabled children.
