About the role:
An ambitious and experienced Architect or Urban Designer is sought to lead feasibility studies, master planning, and planning application projects from our Guildford office. The role requires a proven track record of managing the entire design process, participating in meetings with consultants, clients, and stakeholders, and overseeing an internal team to ensure successful project delivery. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage all aspects of the project while supervising others in the delivery process.
Requirements:
1. Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
2. A minimum of five years' experience in a professional role.
3. Strong commercial awareness.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, MS Office, and InDesign.
6. Knowledge of SketchUp and Revit is a plus.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop landscape-focused masterplans, primarily for residential developments.
2. Create feasibility layouts for projects ranging from 10 to 1,000 homes.
3. Conduct professional site evaluations and assessments to inform project planning.
4. Preparation of outline planning applications.
5. Manage project tender processes.
6. Review drawings to ensure quality and project compliance.
