Temporary Project Worker
Torbay Domestic Abuse Service (TDAS)
£12.50 per hour
37.5 hours per week
Temporary position for up to 6 months
Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Project Worker at our Torbay Domestic Abuse Service in Paignton.

The role of Project Worker will include:
* Regularly assessing the needs of clients by writing and updating support plans, and signposting access to education, training, and employment
* Assisting clients with managing finances and welfare benefits
* Encouraging social inclusion and helping clients to build their confidence, resilience, and self-esteem
* Working with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of the clients and actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required
* Promoting safe working practices by undertaking risk assessments within legislative frameworks
Skills and experiences:
* You will have previous experience in a role supporting victims of domestic abuse or a background gained in a supported living environment in a project worker capacity
* Sound knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management
* Good understanding of occupancy agreements
* The ability to react effectively under pressure
* The ability to work on your own initiative and ability to source innovative solutions to problems
* You will be empathetic and non-judgmental with good interpersonal and customer care skills
* NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards, is essential
