Are you the Verification and Validation Manager we’re looking for?
Location: Crewe, UK (Hybrid Working)
Contract: Initial 6-month contract (possibility of extension) – Outside IR35.

Join an experienced Whole Vehicle Validation and Quality Team as a Verification and Validation Manager, working to ensure that engineering design meets all vehicle requirements before customer release.
Reporting to the Functional Manager, the Verification and Validation Manager will oversee verification and validation planning (VVP) from Level 1-n, utilizing systems engineering processes, as well as durability, reliability, and functional testing of vehicles.
Key responsibilities:
* Develop Verification & Validation Plan (VVP) for new projects using systems engineering processes.
* Manage and develop the VVP from Level 1-n, working cross-functionally and challenging validation techniques (Virtual, Rig & physical).
* Align VVP with Platform, R&D & Quality teams.
* Ensure project deliverables are met, including managing vehicle preparation, updates, concern resolution, outsourced work, and budgets.
* Maintain technical knowledge, lead process improvements, and provide technical direction and input for future developments.
* Influence strategic validation direction, validate against attribute targets, and develop technical roadmaps.
Candidate requirements:
* Broad technical understanding of the whole vehicle, with skills in vehicle attribute evaluation (durability/reliability/testing).
* Experience from launch to production processes.
* Knowledge of Whole Vehicle deliverables, Engineering PVRs, and KPIs.
* Understanding of test and measurement requirements, engineering drawings, software tools, and concern management systems.
* Project management skills with cross-functional leadership ability.
* Knowledge of legislative and environmental sign-off requirements.
* Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
* Chartered Engineer status or working towards it preferred.
* Proficiency in German is an advantage.
Working hours:
37 hours per week, based on-site in Crewe, with flexible hybrid working (60% onsite, approx. 3-4 days/week).
