What you’ll be doing:
\n
\n
* Delivery of fire prevention strategies and governance of fire protection systems
\n
* Providing fire risk reduction advice and support to the client by conducting fire safety audits of construction sites where the Construction Design and Management Regulations are applied
\n
* Support facility projects by reviewing fire strategies, building drawings and other information as part of the fire safety design of site buildings
\n
* Undertake detailed fire risk assessments on complex buildings
\n
* Design and develop building fire strategies
\n
\n
Your skills and experiences:
\n
Essential:
\n
\n
* Be a competent fire safety professional with a proven track record of delivering appropriate and accurate fire safety advice and guidance for building projects and have a working knowledge of fire safety design guides including BS9999 and ADB
\n
* Experience conducting complex fire risk assessments, reviewing concept design information for new projects and providing detailed fire safety scope of requirements, working in an industrial environment
\n
* Manage all fire safety aspects from concept design through all stages of build commissioning, fire risk assessment and handover to the client
\n
* Experience in developing retrospective fire strategies for existing buildings
\n
\n
Desirable:
\n
\n
* Fire safety experience gained from a high hazard engineering industry
\n
* Professional membership of IFSM or the IFE
\n
\n

The Fire Safety Team:
\n
As a Principal Fire Safety Advisor, you will be actively involved in leading on the fire safety design of new modern buildings and the refurbishment of existing building as part of the site expansion and development programme. You will deliver fire safety solutions and support to the project from concept design through to occupation and operation of the facility.
\n
You will work as part of the Fire Safety Team, delivering fire safety solutions to protect life and business operations. You will produce, review and develop new and existing fire strategies and fire risk assessments. You will inspect and assure fire safety for construction projects and specific fire protective elements provided as part of the project as the fire subject matter expert.
\n
The role also offers flexibility in working hours and location of work with the opportunity to achieve a suitable balance between on-site and at home working.
