Title: Group Product Manager – Database Deployment (Flyway)
Manager: Chief Product Officer
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Description:
The Group Product Manager is responsible for the delivery of strategy for Database Deployment solution space. You will be responsible for managing a team of Product Managers, as well as the product portfolio in your solution area. You will be working with senior stakeholders, defining and executing the solution vision and the direction.
Responsibilities (not in order of importance):
1. Design a solution strategy and underlying commercial plans through the entire solution life cycle. Ensure that the strategy is communicated and implemented across the organisation.
2. Lead the achievement of commercial outcomes in your solution area, driving KPIs including ARR, New ACV, market share, and P&L performance.
3. Role model and drive customer centricity in your solution area. Assess the impact of product changes, optimise customer success and time to value, and achieve strong GRR and NRR performance.
4. Inspire and lead a high performance team - line manage, coach, and support the professional development of one or more Product Managers; collaborate effectively with leaders from Engineering, Design and Product Marketing.
5. Contribute to Redgate’s wider portfolio strategy and support its successful execution. Ensure that products address key individual goals and are aligned with the overarching portfolio direction.
6. Coordinate and collaborate with other Group Product Managers, development leads, and other stakeholders, to deliver a high-quality, sustainable, successful solution roadmap.
7. Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams on key commercial opportunities and go-to-market plans, helping to drive go-to-market success in your solution area, and across the portfolio.
8. Work as part of the CPO first line to support organisational initiatives and the effective flow of information across Product, the executive team and other stakeholders.
9. Work alongside technical teams on future solution direction as well as provide analysis of current platforms and ecosystem trends.
10. Develop growth beyond current markets by constantly looking for new areas where existing solutions can be expanded, or which Redgate could successfully enter with new solutions. Provide input to M&A strategy, analyse acquisition opportunities and help to develop value creation plans for potential acquisitions.
Specification:
1. Prior experience acting in a successful leadership role providing a bold, inspiring, and clear product/solution area vision.
2. Prior experience translating vision and strategy to plans and goals, and inspiring cross-functional teams to succeed with these, achieving commercial outcomes.
3. Customer centric, with experience in leading initiatives to improve customers’ outcomes.
4. Strong evidence of building high-trust relationships with senior managers, direct reports and development teams.
5. Experience working within an agile environment, including SCRUM and Kanban and demonstrated advocacy of lean Product Management techniques.
6. Significant experience collaborating with internal teams, such as marketing, sales and customer success, to ensure alignment and support collective go-to-market success.
7. Enthusiastic, confident and credible when talking to customers, with proven effectiveness working with senior decision makers.
8. Strong understanding of Redgate’s Database Deployment market and how this is evolving, combined with real-world, hands-on experience working with database solutions.
9. Demonstrable experience of successful cross-team and peer collaboration and balancing business and organizational needs.
10. Demonstrable experience of clear and effective communication with peers, managers and cross functional product teams.
