Mental Health Mentor
£32, - £33, (pro-rata)
35 hours per week, term time (accrued holidays will be pre-allocated to non term time periods)
Based at Stirling Campus (some cross campus work will be required)
Fixed term to March
You will support students referred to the service on a one to one basis. You will support students who are experiencing moderate to high levels of poor mental health or have a diagnosed mental health condition and the emphasis of this service will be around supporting students to sustain and achieve at college while developing the personal resilience skills and capacity building to navigate life after college, in a mental health context. You will also be involved in the delivery of workshops to class groups promoting positive mental health and wellbeing strategies, and building resilience.
With an HNC (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject, or significant relevant experience in the specialist area, you will have experience supporting service users with their mental health, the skills to deploy various approaches to supporting our students with their mental health and, ideally, an understanding of supporting mental health in an education context.
