We are currently seeking a Lining Supervisor to join our team working with Surrey County Council where you will be responsible for County wide road marking operations. You will be expected to plan, manage and deliver works on the ground ensuring that the correct quality is delivered and cost & value is accurately collected.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
1. Managing the delivery of defined work stream/s in line with the Contract
1. Ensuring suitable TM, plant, materials and labour is available
2. Auditing the quality of the works
3. Ensuring appropriate Streetworks Permits are in place for all works and adherence to regulations, including on site compliance
4. Ensuring the competency of the operatives to carry out the works instructed
5. Allocating correct costs to jobs accurately on a daily basis
6. Managing the performance of operatives
2. Achievement of defined targets and objectives based on the Core Service Plans and the KPIs aligned to the work stream
3. Working in conjunction and liaising with the SCC Highway Inspectors and Sub-contractor Teams to develop an understanding of local areas and issues in both asset condition and public concerns
1. Responding in a timely manner to Performance Team audit response
2. Working with Operational and Hub Teams to programme works delivery effectively
4. To actively foster a positive staff morale.
5. Ensure visibility and regular contact with all operatives across both day and night shifts
6. Take part in winter maintenance and emergency services as appropriate
7. To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management.
The successful candidate will have:
1. ONC/ City & Guilds/NVQ in relevant discipline/NRSWA- accredited (Supervisor)
2. Applied understanding of the TMA and awareness of safety, quality, environmental issues
3. Extensive experience in operational delivery within the TMC/Civils sector
4. Understanding of construction methodologies and guidance in defined work streams
5. Experience and proficiency in cost management and system utilisation
6. Experience in delivery of objectives through the management of resources within budgetary constraints
