Main duties of the job
1. To accompany patients where clinical support is indicated.
2. To chaperone patients as required.
3. To undertake basic observations, e.g. TPR height and weight, BMI and reporting/recording results to qualified staff.
4. To ensure that patients receive care appropriate to their needs.
5. To assist in the setting up and cleaning of clinic trolleys and disposal of clinical waste.
6. To respond appropriately to clinical emergencies.
7. To answer telephone calls and take messages informing appropriate persons of the call.
8. To assist in the transferring of patients using correct manual handling techniques and equipment as appropriate.
9. To report immediately to the nurse in charge any observed change in a patient's condition or any concern expressed by a patient about nursing care or medical treatment.
10. Demonstrate knowledge of Health and Safety at work in order to maintain a safe environment.

Job Description
Job responsibilities include liaising with all members of the Multidisciplinary team, conducting risk assessments, and supporting professionally qualified staff in providing quality care for patients. The role also involves maintaining confidentiality, performing clerical duties, and ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of the area and equipment.
Person Specification
1. Essential Qualifications: GCSE in Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent.
2. Desirable Qualifications: NVQ level 3 in care or willingness to work towards Care certificate.
3. Essential Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills, understanding of confidentiality.
4. Essential Experience: Previous experience in a caring environment.
