Following a recent restructuring within Operational HR, we are in a transformative phase, offering several opportunities to grow and shape the future of our HR services. Our employee relations function plays a pivotal role in supporting the Trust’s strategic objectives, ensuring we are recognised as both a great place to work and the employer of choice in our community.
Working within a fast-paced hospital setting, you will support a diverse workforce, including clinical and non-clinical teams, helping to create a positive, supportive, and highly performing workplace.
We are looking for proactive, knowledgeable, and committed HR Professionals who can drive this vision forward. The role is instrumental in delivering a high-quality HR service, supporting staff across the organisation to achieve meaningful outcomes aligned with the Trust’s values so they can continue to provide outstanding care to our patients.
We operate a hybrid model of on-site and home working.

Main duties of the job
As our HR Manager, you’ll work closely with the Head of Employee Relations and HR Business Partner to ensure our ER team provides a proactive, efficient, and fair service for managers and staff. This will include the provision of expert advice and guidance on aspects of employment law and best practice as well as the interpretation and application of employment Terms and Conditions, Policies, and National directives. You will be responsible for managing employee relations caseloads, including supporting complex grievances, disciplinary, attendance management, civility, and performance cases.
Responsible for management and development of Senior HR Advisors and HR Advisors, you will provide leadership, and drive continuous improvement by empowering, motivating, and inspiring the team to deliver.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Educated to Masters level plus professional HR qualification or equivalent level of experience and knowledge.
* Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
* Continuous Professional Development.
* Fellow of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
* Well-developed knowledge of current human resources practice and employment law.
* Experience in implementing and delivering HR and OD interventions.
* Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and practice.
Experience
* Human Resources experience in a Senior HR Advisor or HR Manager role.
* Human Resources experience within the NHS or within another large public sector organisation that provides transferrable knowledge and skills.
* Significant experience in an operational generalist role, covering a wide range of HR responsibilities to include discipline, grievance, organisational change and restructuring, redundancy, and changing of terms and conditions of employment.
* Line management of staff.
