Job Title: Rail Inspector
Facility: Wolverton
Reports to: Terminal Manager
AWC Operations Canada (AWCC) performs many logistics functions, including real-time yard management, data transfers, vehicle locating, dealer delivery, import/export preparations, rail car preparation, switching, loading and unloading, and assembly plant operations. The AWCC Wolverton, ON facility provides logistics services for Glovis Canada Inc.
The Rail Scanner inspects inbound vehicles for damage using a mobile inventory scanner.

Essential Functions, Duties and Tasks:
* Inspect inbound vehicles for damage
* Photograph and report on damage
* Audit offloaded vehicles for Associate of American Railroad (AAR) standards
* Scan vehicles with the mobile device for yard inventory
* Clean van interiors
* Fuel vans and record date, van number, and liters of fuel
* Assist yard supervisors or dispatchers
* Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment
* Notify management of workplace hazards or unsafe conditions
* Other tasks as assigned

Working Conditions:
* Work primarily conducted outside in all types of weather

* Work in tight spaces
* Working at a height of approximately 15 ft. above ground
* Personal Protective Equipment provided
Physical Requirements:
* Good sense of balance
* Push, pull, or carry up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

* Good visual ability
* Gripping
Education, Experience, and Minimum Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Minimum 1-year heavy labor experience
* Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
* Valid full G driver's license
* Communicate in English; ability to read, write and interpret documents
* Subject to third-party Pre-employment Medical Assessment
* Subject to Background check including Driver's Abstract and Criminal Record Check
