Our client is an established and respected law firm operating from a number of strategically placed regional offices throughout the Midlands. Their small, dedicated employment law team provide high quality legal advice, offering assistance and support to the clients of the firm on a range of employment matters, ensuring advice is accurate and comprehensive and that all advice provided is clearly recorded. The firm wishes to build and grow the employment team. They currently have requirements in various offices throughout the Midlands and would look at solicitors offering a minimum of 2 PQE within employment law to join them. The role: Providing a high level of legal advice and assistance, working both independently, with minimal supervision and as a member of the team. To maintain existing relations with the firm's clients and assist and help develop new relationships with third party referrers. To manage employment matters, with a particular focus on but not limited to: Drafting, including contracts and handbooks. Advising on HR matters including disciplinary and grievance. Employment litigation including unfair dismissal, discrimination and restrictive covenants. TUPE, redundancy and reorganisation including consultation processes, risk areas and practicalities. Settlement agreements. Representing and liaising with both employers and employees. To work closely with other Departments on joint projects. To participate in the growth and future development of the department, assisting in building the client base and marketing the Firm's services. You will be a qualified solicitor (UK qualified) offering no less then 2 PQE (however those offering less with strong technical ability who have operated within a paralegal or executive role prior to qualification will also be strongly considered) Local to Shropshire or Hereford.
