Job Purpose:
Core duties include installation, inspection & testing, and the maintenance & repair of all electrical systems. This includes wiring and fault finding of central heating control systems, as well as fault finding, repairing, and replacing door entry and warden call systems. Conduct yourself professionally and responsibly at all times on behalf of CCS Limited, adhering to codes of practice, company procedures, and stipulations.
Duties:
Maintain job time frames and quality standards by working efficiently, effectively, and safely with a high-quality finish. Deliver a high-quality service to clients and their customers, respecting all individuals and meeting challenges. Carry out all works strictly in line with company procedures and industry standards, including codes of practice and best practices.
1. Repairs and minor works as required for installation callbacks or remedial works.
2. Breakdown attendance and response to urgent calls, as part of a call-out rota.
3. Order parts and manage your own jobs to ensure fast resolution to client issues or faults.
4. Clear each job from the hand-held device and back office system upon completion.
5. Liaise with residents and CCS clients about the works being undertaken.
6. Ensure all PPE is present and correct at all times.
7. Ensure all equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
8. Keep appointments and keep CCS tenants/clients informed.
9. Carry out duties as required by any senior manager or staff representing such manager.
10. Stay updated with all codes of practice involving your given discipline.
11. Report variations to any works and update the administration department regarding changes on site.
12. Engage and attend all staff briefings and company functions.
13. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
14. Liaise with other engineers and staff to ensure targets are reached, organizing plumbing and building works on installations.
15. Produce a certificate or job sheet for all works, along with any other required reports or records.
16. Submit valid and accurate time sheets, delivery notes, expenses, and other documentation weekly.
Skills/Qualifications:
General competence in the trade, NVQ 2 or equivalent, 18th edition wiring regulations, C&G 2391. Experience/Qualifications in fault diagnosis, repair, and installation of door entry and warden call systems, or transferable skills, is advantageous. Punctuality, professionalism, flexibility, and working knowledge of Mobile PDA are essential.
Desirable:
Gold ECS NVQ level 3 card, 2391 or 2395 & 2394 in testing and inspection.
Experience Required:
Experience working within the Social Housing market on installation projects and maintenance contracts, including experience working directly with residents and clients, is advantageous. Experience in wiring domestic heating systems and the capability to adapt and learn are required. A clean UK driving license and DBS check will be necessary.
