About The Role
Job scope:
* Prepare and cook food for service users and staff, following all guidelines for food hygiene and health and safety.
* Control of ALL food that leaves the kitchen.
* Maintain exceptional housekeeping.
* Take full responsibility for the cleaning of the kitchen.
* Deliver exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
* The preparation and cooking of all food.
* Monitoring and guiding staff while working in the kitchen.
* Help with input of new menus, working with those living in the home to make person-centred menus.
* Completing all documentation required legally and by Salutem.
* Working closely with the line manager on all food-related issues.
* Ensuring food preparation areas are clean and tidy.
* Ensuring stock rotation and stock take are completed.
* Daily and weekly ordering of all food-related stock.
* Ensuring all equipment used is safe and clean, reporting any issues to the line manager.
* Following all Salutem policies and procedures.
* Maintaining a professional appearance at all times while at work.
* Being aware of the aims and objectives of the services.
* Undertaking any other duty deemed reasonable as required by your manager.
* Adhering to health and safety policy and procedures, identifying hazards and undertaking appropriate risk assessments.
