A dynamic Construction Consultancy is seeking Quantity Surveyors at various levels - QS, Senior QS, and Associate - to support major projects in the Power and Energy sector in Scotland and across the UK. Bandings (dependant on location/ experience) - Quantity Surveyor (£45k - £65k), Senior Quantity Surveyor (£52k - £78k) and Associate (£72k - £88k)
Quantity Surveyor
* Deliver accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.
* Administer contracts in alignment with project objectives and governance policies.
* Proactively manage cost variances, cash flow, and valuations.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure programme performance, cost control, and value engineering objectives are met.
* Assist with procurement and tender evaluations.
Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Lead commissions and oversee cost management delivery.
* Manage contract change processes and ensure compliance with governance and best practices.
* Provide commercial guidance to clients and stakeholders.
* Drive improvements in budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting accuracy.
* Support the professional development of junior team members.
Associate
* Take a leadership role in delivering high-value commissions, often large or complex.
* Act as the key client interface, building strong relationships and ensuring client objectives are met.
* Lead teams to deliver quality services on time and within budget.
* Oversee the full procurement process, including contract negotiation.
* Promote innovation and efficiency within the consultancy and for client projects.
Qualifications
* Education : Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
* Professional Memberships : Ideally MRICS, MCIPS, or working towards similar.
* Contract Knowledge : Strong understanding of NEC3/4 contracts (Option C preferred).
* Sector Experience : Proven track record in Power, Energy, High Voltage, Transmission, or Renewables however other similar sector would also be considered (as long as you have experience using NEC Contracts).
For Associate Level :
* Extensive leadership experience in cost/commercial management.
* Comfort with complex project delivery and client-facing responsibilities.
