Service User Related Responsibilities:
1. Carry out duties as required under the direction of the Manager/Shift Leader.
2. Be involved in meeting each service user’s individual needs daily, including transporting service users to appointments and engagements by driving the Company vehicles if the worker has a driving licence.
3. Support service user’s individual priority needs, completing daily timetables as directed.
4. Facilitate the involvement of service users in daily household tasks, i.e., cleaning, personal laundry, shopping, and preparing meals.
5. Assist in providing basic care for people with physical illness.
6. Carry out personal care as part of the role depending on client needs.
7. Report any client general issues/concerns to the Manager.
8. Participate in service user’s leisure pursuits at home and within the community.
9. Act as Key-Worker for identified service user(s) as designated by the Manager.
10. Advocate on behalf of service users where appropriate.
11. Work flexible hours to meet individual needs.
12. Participate in the support planning process as directed.
13. Undertake any other additional duties as reasonably required by the Company.
General Responsibilities:
1. Work in accordance with the Organisational and local Policies and Procedures.
2. Participate in maintaining the internal/external upkeep of the house.
3. Communicate relevant information clearly via appropriate channels.
4. Report any potential hazards/risks to the Manager in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations.
5. Undertake staff training as appropriate.
6. Train in the Safe handling of Medication and participate in the administration of medication for service users.
7. Participate in Staff Appraisal Scheme.
8. Maintain all aspects of confidentiality with the home at all times.
9. Present a positive image to neighbours and the general public.
