Details on the role:
8. Under the direction and support of the Assistant Team Manager, you will be working for the Children With Disabilities Team coordinate and provide a service to children who are subject to child in need plans, child protection plans, pre-proceedings or court proceedings. Most of the children you will work with, will have additional needs.
9. To make timely and appropriate responses to and manage assigned work in accordance with Directorate policies and procedures, budgets and relevant legislation
10. To share information and develop effective working relationships with team members, professionals in other agencies and other colleagues in the Directorate.
11. To promote integrated working, ensuring a need led response that improves the outcomes for children and their families.
12. To undertake assessments in line with the “Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families”.
13. To establish and implement action plans based on the assessed needs of the children, young people and their families, the child/young person in conjunction with their family and other agencies in line with restorative practice values.
As a Social Worker you are required to:
14. Hold a Social Work England registration
15. Be eligible to work in the UK
16. Hold a full UK licence
17. Post-qualified experience
18. Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
