Get to Know This RoleEngages, connects, and offers guidance and education for guests in our Sierra Nevada Gift Shop and our Brewery location. Serves as a brand ambassador for Sierra Nevada by welcoming guests, initiating conversations, accurately answering questions, processing retail transactions and providing assistance, and creating a genuine connection supporting our relationship-driven business. 1. Provide a friendly welcoming environment by smiling, greeting and acknowledging every guest when they enter the store and engaging them in conversation
2. Operate computerized cash register and Point of Sale (POS) system. Assure fast, efficient check-out. Handle cash and accurately make change
3. Answer general customer questions about the brewery including the history of Sierra Nevada, the Craft Beer industry in general, and beer styles
4. Stock merchandise including placement on racks, shelves, counters and tables, ensuring that stock levels on the sales floor are maintained at all times
5. Participate in store Team meetings and required training
6. Stock the beverage cooler and face product. Participate in store physical inventory as assigned.
7. Maintain a thorough understanding of Sierra Nevada retail merchandise brands and availability
8. Maintain a thorough understanding of food items and beverage ingredients.
9. Receive and check in merchandise
10. Perform light housekeeping of Gift Shop and stock areas. Clean shelves, counters, windows and tables.
11. Pour beer at the Tasting Room Bar and be able to offer a basic guided beer tasting
12. Other tasks may be assigned as needed to support Guest Experience team and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.

13. Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
14. Cash handling experience preferred
15. Experience working a computerized cash register or POS system preferred
16. Beer pouring experience preferred
17. Ability to be welcoming, enthusiastic and energetic in talking about our fun, growing industry is critical
18. Ability to prioritize work, quickly and seamlessly shifting gears when necessary
19. Desire and ability to learn and understand the different styles of craft beverages and the beer making process
20. Proficiency in Microsoft Office desired
