1:1 THRIVE Practitioner/Nurture Support Mentor - SEND: SEMH (Primary) Location: Fishponds, Bristol Start date: 22/04/2025 Type: Full-time / Part-time, TTO, Temp-to-perm (8:30am - 4:00pm (flexible), Monday to Friday, term-time only 10 days) Salary: £86.93 - £108.51 per day during trial (£19,000 - £23,500pa perm equivalent TLR of up to £1,800 for senior roles) - experience dependent Our brand new special school for primary-aged learners (KS1, KS2 Yr7) opened in September 2024 in the Fishponds area of Bristol and we're continuing to recruit to our new staff team. Elmtree Grove School will open based on the successes of learner outcomes at our 6 Elmtree Learning Partnership sites since 2022 (url removed). We will be supporting up to 28 learners through a gradually increasing learner intake. All of the learners we support are vulnerable and have an EHCP to define their additional needs or an EHCP in progress. Creativity, perseverance and an empathetic approach when working with them is key to engaging them in education and ensuring their progression. We are seeking a 1:1 THRIVE / Nurture Learning Support Mentor to work closely with one of our learners. It is essential that you fulfil one of these criteria: THRIVE qualified extensive experience as a THRIVE practitioner/worker (unqualified) extensive experience of supporting in a Nurture capacity This particular role has flexibility in how it will look. The minimum expectation is to work every morning on a 1:1 basis with the specific learner. There is some flexibility on the (am) working hours for the right applicant. For full-time applicants the role would involve working in another capacity at the school with staff & learners.
