Job Title: Director, Financial Planning & Analysis
Overview:
The FP&A Director has a broad remit across APEMEA. The function is responsible for providing finance support to the APEMEA CFO and other functional leads across the APEMEA Regions. In addition, the role will take on meaningful projects at the APEMEA Finance level.
Role:
1. Work with APEMEA CFO, Region FP&A Leads and business partners in APEMEA to build and execute on strategy for the business.
2. Manage delivery of a high quality and insightful end-to-end month end and financial planning and forecasting process for APEMEA Markets. Focused across revenue, contra and expenses, including communications, timetables, data requirements & modelling.
3. Create a clear and coherent story of performance and actions for use within the business unit and at a group level.
4. Communicate key drivers behind the budget and forecast to APEMEA leadership, linking the financial performance to strategy.
5. Track risks & opportunities, identifying what options are available to deliver the plan each month.
6. Works cross-functionally with business partners to ensure alignment with targets; performs variance analysis to deliver and articulate arguments in an effective manner.
7. Prepare senior management presentations such as Quarterly Operating Reviews (QOR), Monthly, Performance & Forecast Reviews and other ad-hoc presentations.
8. Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales and expenses.
9. Taking personal accountability to drive and own business performance through insight, challenge and understanding of the business.
10. Act as the main point of interaction between APEMEA and corporate finance.
11. Build strong and positive relationships with Regional APEMEA, Vertical Finance teams and the BFC, ensuring APEMEA objectives are met and translate business assumptions into financial data.
12. Develop and build management reporting and insight for the Senior Management Team for presentation by Finance leaders.
13. Drive business process improvement initiatives by building and maintaining financial tools to perform analysis and modelling; review and create suggestions to Region plans.
14. Reports to the APEMEA VP FP&A.
All About You:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting; (MBA/ACCA/ACA/CFA/CIMA preferred).
2. Strong analytical skills, commercial mindset, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
3. Proactive with the ability to identify issues before they develop into problems; proactively resolving issues directly or through escalation to appropriate partners.
4. Strong sense of ownership and able to deliver results within tight deadlines.
5. Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
6. Adept at building relationships with a broad set of colleagues.
7. Strong contributor who thrives in a collaborative team environment, but comfortable with making independent thought-out decisions.
8. Track record of driving process and systems improvements.
9. Successfully embodies change management.
10. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, Oracle, Hyperion and Tableau.
