PETA Ltd are looking to source an exceptional Engineering Technician Apprentice for our client, Fischer Connectors. This role involves learning to work with various teams to provide technical support to the business This involves evaluating, assessing and developing tailored customer solutions based at their site in Waterlooville. Training to be provided: As an Engineering Technician Apprentice, you will be studying a Level 3 Engineering Technician (Technical Support) Apprenticeship. Throughout your apprenticeship with Fischer Connectors, you will be supported by your company mentor and your PETA Learning and Development Coach. Your Level 3 programme will include a level 3 Engineering work-based qualification delivered by PETA, and day release for 24 months to complete a level 3 BTEC technical certificate. Overall duration 48 months. About the role: As an Engineering Technician Apprentice, you will develop a variety of engineering skills which will include working towards ultimately creating and maintaining close customer relationships and being involved in the research and development of technical solutions. This will also include working alongside the Cable Assembly Technician to produce proof of concept and prototype parts. As an Engineering Technician Apprentice, you will have a wide range of responsibilities, as part of the role, some of the tasks you will be taught are: Solutions Engineering: Evaluating the cost of the customers solutions Generate concept and technical drawings Test and validate the cable assembly developments Keeping up to date with advancing and improving technologies Cable Assembly Engineering: Manufacturing of cable assemblies Ensuring Quality Standards Accuracy of system information Involved in planning production and confirmations Supporting with stock management and dispatch as required What are the career prospects at Fischer Connectors?
