Part Time Teaching Assistants Needed
We work with a Primary School in Cheltenham who consistently needs some cover support. Therefore we are looking for a part time Teaching Assistant who is happy to cover these days and work on more of an ADHOC basis. The hours are typically 8.30-3.30 although sometimes a morning shift is needed to be covered and the hours for this tend to be 8.30-12.30. The shifts typically are covering a 1:1 Teaching Assistant so you will be supporting a child with Special Educational Needs. The year group can vary across KS1 and KS2.
We are looking for someone who is open-minded and flexible. Someone who is happy to adapt their support methods to various age groups and happy to work in varying roles. There are no set days for this so the right candidate will be happy to work different days, although this would also work if you have set free days as we can work around when you are available. We need someone who has experience of working within a school setting and having SEN experience is really beneficial. This work will suit University students as you can pick up work outside of your lectures to earn some more money!
What will you need to do on a daily basis?
* Supporting the Teacher with the lesson
* Assisting students with their learning, particularly those who require additional support
* Support groups of children or 1:1 support
* Show excellent curriculum knowledge
* Manage behavior effectively
* Promote and nurture independence
* Build positive working relationships with children and adults alike
What have some of our candidates said about us?
“I joined the company last year and they went above and beyond to help me settle in to two different work placements. Would highly recommend to any new teachers in Bristol, looking for quality roles and support”.
