Provide operational support to the Marine Supervisor and operational guidance to the Marine Control Room Operators in all aspects of Marine Operations and in accordance with the Installations Safety Case, UKCS Legislation, Classification Society Rules, Flag State Legislation and asset design limitations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Marine Supervisor with designated tasks during night shift, i.e. lead the MCRO’s and Pump Operators to ensure Marine tasks are carried out safely and in a timely manner.
* Stand-in for the MCROs and Marine Supervisor during periods of sickness, absence and training.
* Provide marine management, guidance and leadership to marine system vendor work scopes.
* Support the Marine Supervisor where necessary with supervision of attendant field vessel activities including but not limited to Offtake Tanker, Supply Vessel, Remotely Operated Vehicle Support Vessel and Anchor Handling Vessel work scopes.
* Provide guidance to the MCROs for safe and efficient Marine Control Room Operations.
* Supervise, when required, 3rd party vendors and OEMs with annual verification and marine system maintenance activities.
* Liaise with the Maintenance Department when marine system maintenance is being carried out by the Mechanical, Electrical and Instrument Technicians.
* Review and update Marine Procedures in conjunction with the MCROs, Marine Supervisor and Marine Superintendent.
* Liaise with the Marine Supervisor on training and development requirements for the MCROs and Pump Operators.
* Where required, provide assistance to the Facilities Engineer with implementing marine system Management of Change work scopes and take ownership to ensure close-out.
* Support the Marine Supervisor with managing BassNet including job planning, closing out on-hold WO’s and ensuring P1’s are signed off within the due dates.
* Raise Permits to Work and ensure the following is completed as per procedure: Risk Assessments are comprehensive with relevant hazards and controls identified, all supporting information is up to date, isolations are verified and recorded on the latest P&IDs.
* Keep an updated list of the PMs relevant to each Marine System and inform the Marine Superintendent and Marine Supervisor in advance of due dates, accounting for those that require 3rd party vendor mobilisations.
* Liaise with the Materials Coordinator to review the spares required for each Marine System and check the physical stock against the BassNet allocation. Ensure equipment requisitions are raised in a timely manner, so that the required spares are available onboard in advance of the vendor’s mobilisation.
* Ensure the load and offload plans are in accordance with the Intact and Damage Stability Manual and report that to the Marine Supervisor.
* Ensure the pre-offload tests and checks, including final de-bottoming of Cargo Tanks are carried out and report that to the Marine Supervisor.
* Perform any other tasks as reasonably required.
