As a Data Scientist at this established national company, you will analyse complex datasets, develop predictive models, and create data-driven solutions to enhance business decision-making.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify key insights, design experiments, and perform face-to-face briefings with larger senior leadership teams. Your work will drive innovation and efficiency across the organisation alongside the most senior people within the entire org.
Below are some Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, deploy, and maintain data models and analytics solutions to support business decisions.
2. Work with large datasets to extract insights using Python, R, SQL, NoSQL, or MongoDB.
3. Build and optimise machine learning models, including regression models, forecasting tools, and sentiment analysis.
4. Design and conduct A/B tests and hypothesis testing to validate business strategies.
5. Develop compelling data visualisations using Power BI or Tableau to communicate insights effectively.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
7. Engage with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
Key experience needed:
1. Significant experience with Python, R, or Power Query for data manipulation.
2. Proficient in querying databases using SQL, NoSQL, or MongoDB.
3. Experience in data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
4. Understanding of data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, DataFactory preferred).
5. Strong understanding of descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing.
6. Proven experience with regression modeling and forecasting tools.
7. Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies.
The role is offering a salary of £40,000 - £43,000 per annum and will be on a hybrid schedule in Liverpool. The role is also offering a wealth of other benefits with a major focus on self-development budgets.
