We are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work at our schools throughout Wandsworth and Merton.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support pupil learning through the delivery of specific learning programmes, setting high expectations whilst encouraging their independence and building their confidence.
2. Mentor students on a 1:1 basis, planning and leading a series of booster and intervention sessions to tackle difficult topics.
3. Observe, record, and provide feedback on pupil performance.
4. Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to assist in behaviour management and support pupils in their learning objectives.
5. Promote inclusion, encouraging pupils to interact and work collaboratively.
6. Adapt and develop resources for EAL and SEND pupils, ensuring their safety and enabling them to access the curriculum.
7. Assist in creating materials for curriculum delivery and display boards.
8. Demonstrate the right to work in the UK.
9. Exhibit a genuine passion and belief in the potential of every pupil.
10. Be a learner and continually seek professional development opportunities.
11. Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to pay for one.
12. Have experience working with children in a tutoring or classroom capacity.
13. Have experience managing children in a formal setting.
14. Possess Maths and English GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above (or equivalent).
15. Have completed a certified teaching assistant course or training, or be willing to undertake this.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
