Operating across Devon & Cornwall, this established company specialising in Civil Engineering & Groundworks are recruiting for a Contracts Manager to cover their sites across North, Mid and West Devon.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a company who have built a great reputation and grown impressively over the years now enjoying the market share of their specialist sector.
Due to a number of new sites starting and increase in workload, the group are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the existing teams. Projects vary and can include residential developments, roads & infrastructure, retaining walls and bulk excavation and surfacing.
As the Contracts Manager, you will oversee and deliver multiple projects up to £3m. This position welcomes Project Managers looking to step up!
Daily duties include:
* Managing projects from conception, design, planning and construction
* Manage construction price plans, weekly programmes and progress meetings.
* Organise, chair and hold regular and ad-hoc meetings relating to the projects with the internal team and the client.
* Ensure that the resources required to execute the work safely are deployed to site to ensure that the works can be executed safely.
* Reviewing quotations from subcontractors alongside the QS
* Management of all on-site teams, ensuring programme is on track.
* Preparing construction programmes and construction phase plans.
* Producing progress reports and representing the company at monthly project meetings.
* Supporting site managers with H&S, RAMS

Due to the nature of the projects its also essential that you have a driving licence as travel in between the sites is essential as well as the following:
* Degree qualified (industry relevant degree) or equivalent.
* SMSTS
* CSCS
* First Aid at Work.
