We are seeking a versatile and proactive IT Support Specialist. This is a varied and dynamic role, offering the opportunity to split your time between providing technical support and maintaining IT systems, hardware, and software.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills, a calm demeanour under pressure, and a commitment to delivering high-quality IT support. As the role evolves, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities, including contributing to the development of the IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first and second-line IT support, offering training and guidance to users with varying levels of IT knowledge.
* Maintain, update, and monitor IT systems, including hardware, software, printers, and mobile devices.
* Perform IT administration tasks such as user management, asset tracking, and system updates.
* Create and update IT documentation, including help guides and troubleshooting resources.
* Assist with IT hardware replacement cycles and project delivery.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Person Specification
Essential Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in customer-facing technical support roles.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
* A logical thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work accurately and calmly under pressure in a demanding environment.
* Flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to teamwork.
* Excellent time management and administrative skills.
* Experience configuring and troubleshooting:
* Microsoft client and server operating systems.
* Active Directory and Group Policy.
* Microsoft 365.
* Networking (DHCP, DNS, VLANs).
* Wireless systems, web filtering, and antivirus management.
