We are seeking a talented Head of Counselling Services to lead a team specialising in supporting children and young people aged 5 – 25 years through challenging times. This role involves providing a range of services for young people and their families, as well as for the professionals who work with them.
You will be leading the strategic direction for a large team of therapists and will be the safeguarding lead. Working across Essex, you will provide therapeutic expertise to support the organisation and the team.
This is a key role within the organisation, and the successful candidate will work closely with all levels of the charity, liaising with board members, allied professionals, and other stakeholders as needed. You will be familiar with ensuring that funding and resources are used effectively, competent in gathering data for funders, and generating reports as needed.
Candidates wishing to be considered for this role will have a professional understanding of person-centred therapy in the context of working with young people, as well as knowledge of services and legislation guidance regarding children and young people. You must be an accredited member of the BACP and also a qualified supervisor.
You will possess demonstrable experience of working within the BACP ethical framework, guidance, and current legislation. The successful candidate will also have previous experience in safeguarding practices, with sufficient experience and knowledge to be the safeguarding lead.
