About the Role
This role reports into our Digital Analytics Manager in the Boots Digital Analytics team. Boots is aiming to create the most compelling omnichannel beauty and health experience in the UK. You will support this by developing analytics data collection strategies that give teams data for analysis of customer acquisition through marketing and advertising platforms, customer behaviour, conversion, and commercial performance, and supporting MarTech personalisation goals and data science use cases.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* Oversee the development of our digital data collection methodologies.
* Be the technical bridge between non-technical partners and technical teams, eliciting and interpreting our goals into analytical requirements and technical designs.
* Design and deploy scripts and tags on web, native apps, and adaptive app pages through tag management systems, or by working with development partners.
* Create automated testing methodologies to ensure data is captured, is always present and accurate, and we are alerted to changes before they become significant or lengthy issues.
* Hand over solutions back to analytics team members and wider digital analytics users to ensure Boots gets value from the created data.
* Collaborate with a wider team, including external partners, to coordinate delivery of work.
What You'll Need to Have
* A record of providing valuable data for teams such as analytics, product, marketing, ad tech, UX, trading, merchandising, design, and data science, which proved to guide positive change and growth.
* A record of driving adoption of new analytical capabilities.
* 3+ years' experience working with Digital Analytics tools and associated data collection, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Amplitude.
* 3+ years' experience deploying marketing and advertising tags, such as Google Ads, Meta, AWIN, Criteo.
* 3+ years' front-end development experience working in JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
* Experience designing data collection methodologies for client and server-side data collection, data layer designs, working on both web and mobile apps - adaptive and native - and virtual pages.
* Familiarity with agile workflows through JIRA or Azure DevOps.
* A curious problem solver, eager to continuously develop skills.
* Able to communicate effectively across varying levels of data literacy and seniority.
