In this role, you will deliver the Certificate in Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) qualification, which is designed for prisoners aiming to work in roles that require providing information, advice, or guidance. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and inspiring sessions to small groups of prison-based learners. Encourage learners to engage with education, build their confidence, and develop soft skills applicable to employment and further education. Create a positive and calm learning environment, adapting lessons to meet the diverse needs and learning abilities of the learners. Conduct outreach work outside the main classroom setting, supporting learners in various departments within the prison. Areas of Focus: Signposting and Referral in Information, Advice, or Guidance Managing Information Specialist Advice Work in Practice - Employment Specialist Advice Work in Practice - Refugee, Immigrant, or Asylum Seeker Qualifications and Skills: L3 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance or level 3 Coaching & Mentoring. Strong communication skills to inspire and motivate learners. Ability to create adaptable, innovative, and imaginative lessons. Experience working with individuals who have had negative experiences with education. Working Hours: Mondays to Thursdays: 07:50-16:50 and Fridays: 07:50-13:20 No previous teaching experience?
