About the Role
In this role, you'll support a skilled engineering team in maintaining a modern plant and play a central role in process improvements across the site. You will participate in and lead projects delivering process control changes over a range of PLC and SCADA-controlled systems and work with vision control systems to uphold high-quality control standards.
Key Responsibilities
Adhere to all safety requirements when working with machinery, systems, and chemicals.
Ensure hazardous area requirements are met, including installations and PMs.
Maintain detailed records within the CMMS, including history and downtime.
Perform high-standard maintenance on plant and equipment.
Diagnose and resolve PLC/system faults and identify root causes.
Develop and update PLC programs as needed.
Complete work orders and PMs within set deadlines.
Support timely breakdown responses.
Modify plant and machinery to maximize production.
Analyze maintenance history and align the PM schedule accordingly.
Participate in team or solo projects as required.
Maintain full awareness of performance-impacting issues.
Conduct RCA analysis to understand underlying issues.
Document learnings and update training records.
Keep all site machinery software updated and compliant.
Design bespoke systems and controls as required.
Ensure software backups are created to safeguard machinery automation.
Essential Qualifications:
Engineering qualification; HNC with relevant industrial experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven PLC knowledge for fault finding and programming (Ladder Logic, C+, Structured text).
Experience with vision control systems.
Desired Qualifications:
HND/Foundation Degree in engineering.
CAD proficiency.
Project management experience.
Hazardous Areas COMPEX 1-4 Qualification.
